In an interview with The Sangyan’s Ulgulan Talks! back in May 2023, Kumar Mahavir shared his journey from Bhagalpur, Bihar. Born prematurely, he later developed hemiplegia on his left side due to an accident in infancy. After his mother’s passing, he moved to Munger Ashram with his father, the Dean of Applied Yogic Science. Immersed in a spiritual and academic environment, Kumar developed a deep love for books and learning. He pursued higher education in Political Science and Urban Policy. He mentions his works as an NCPEDP-Javed Abidi Fellow on Disability Rights in Deoghar, Jharkhand, advocating for inclusivity and implementing public policies at the grassroots. He also talked about climate-induced challenges that he had to face due to his disability.
